Tippia wrote:So, two obvious questions:
1. What happened in August!? 2. Can you give examples of what qualifies as GÇ£otherGÇ¥?
1. It was quite an eventful month. We may delve deeper into this at next years fanfest. No spoilers, sorry! 2. There are a few different ban types grouped into "other" here - I'll mention some: CC Fraud, account sharing, account hacking and "repeated warnings or in-game violations" not covered under any of the other types of bans.

EvilweaselFinance wrote:Dangeresque Too wrote:Silly question, why differentiate ISK Spammers from ISK Sellers? I presume the spammers are basically ad bots, that refer people that bite to the actual seller. When you nail a spammer you won't get much actual isk because the spammer assumes the account will get caught and it's not as big a deal as when you catch the actual seller.
Yep, this is more or less correct. "ISK Spammers" are in-game characters spamming chat, eve mails and whatnot with ISK Selling ads.
The "ISK Seller" bans are for accounts involved in selling of ISK - typically these will be distribution accounts, middle-men or suppliers. The graph is based on "ban types" which is what these accounts would see when attempting to log in. The "Macro Use" bans includes all macro bans; but this ban type in particular could be a graph of its own, as we differentiate between types of bots - RMT bots, player bots, chat spam bots (outside of the ISK Spamming field) and so forth.
It's also worth mentioning that we do not limit punishment to the offending account(s) - we take action against all accounts found to belong to the offender. This is a big reason not to share your accounts - your friend might buy some ISK or bot a little, and you could end up being guilty by association.

Rosewalker wrote:Curious about one thing. Are you going to put the important parts of CCP Falcon's 25 November post in the Third Party Policies, ToS, or other official page connected to the EVE Online Rules of Conduct? Because I'm tired of all the space lawyers digging up posts for 2010 to justify their behavior. I'd love to just be able to say that all of the forum posts from before 1 January 2015 are outdated and no longer apply.
Yes absolutely. Reviewing our policy pages and providing a central location for all of these policies on our to-do list. No ETA, but we are working on it. I'd like an eveonline.com/security page, personally!
